Healthcare Service Providers

Prior to 1 July 2017, elders aged 70 or above who hold valid Hong Kong Identity Card or Certificate of Exemption are eligible to use vouchers. With the Scheme enhanced in 2017, elders aged 65 to 69 holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card or Certificate of Exemption can also use vouchers starting from 1 July 2017. Nevertheless, an elder who obtained a Hong Kong Identity Card by virtue of a previous permission to land or remain in Hong Kong granted to him/ her and such permission has expired or ceased to be valid is not eligible to use vouchers.

Save for the above arrangement in 2017, elders are provided with vouchers on 1 January from the year in which they become eligible under the Scheme (for example, if an elder has his 65th birthday in December 2018, he will be provided with vouchers on 1 January 2018). The annual voucher amount for each eligible elder is as follows:-
